Good Habits start early - Introduce your children to Matcha Tea!!

Matcha green tea has a delightful green colour and a mouth-watering taste with an infusion of Umami - which is sure to make it a popular food item that your child is sure to love. Serve it hot or cold, pop it in their smoothies, or make matcha popsicles - which ever way they like it, make this tea a part of their daily diet to give them a head start.

Doesn’t Matcha Tea Have Caffeine? Isn’t it harmful?

Matcha tea contains caffeine but then so does other varieties of tea, coffee and even colas. But there is a catch here. Matcha green tea has an amino acid named L-Theanine. It helps to absorb the caffeine in the next 4 to 6 hours and hence there is no increase in the caffeine intake level.

One of the major Matcha tea benefits is that it helps your child to relax and also increases their concentration level and ability to focus.

There are so many health benefits of matcha. Following are some of the few:

  • Rich in anti-oxidants, matcha is a must have if you want your child to remain healthy and 'glowing'. Antioxidants help to fight diseases.
  • The matcha has antiviral properties too. The chances of your child falling ill are reduced to a high extent.
  • EGCG, a catechin present in this tea helps to fight cavities. This is vital, especially when your child is growing up.
  • L-Theanine helps improve concentration and boosts memory. This is great especially when your child is preparing for an exam. It helps to reduce anxiety and stress
  • Polyphenols present in matcha improves the blood flow to the brain.
  • This tea helps to reduce the chances of childhood obesity. Matcha improves metabolism, thereby ensuring that the calories get burned and your child remains fit and active throughout the day.

Why don’t you start a Matcha tea ritual with your kids? They are sure to love these marshmallow kitties tea dunkers!
